We are inviting you to participate in the International conference "Prospects of osteopathy development: peoples health and quality of life".

On May 11 – 13, 2012 St.-Petersburg is hosting the third international conference titled “OSTEOPATHY AND WHITE NIGHTS” devoted to peoples health and quality of life under both normal and adverse conditions including different diseases, pregnancy and childbirth, professional sport, specific professional activities, different stages of childhood, or elderly age. In the present social and economic conditions of the worlds leading nations, one of the biggest challenges is preserving the health of the nation, reaching optimal quality of life and efficiency of productive and other activities of the population.

Quality of life is an integral parameter describing physical, psychological and social functioning of an individual based on his/her subjective perception.

WHO defines the quality of life as the individuals perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns.

Thus, the classifying factor for the quality of life is the state of health (individual, professional, family and public).

The conference sessions and practical workshops will focus on the current issues of osteopathy and prospects of its development in terms of preserving health and quality of life. Involving international participants practical experience, we will discuss contemporary approaches to diagnosing and treatment as well as possibilities of health improvement in different age groups including infants, teenagers, elderly persons etc.
